Poem - A City on the Horizon

Agnieszka Bednarz

It is the sounds of the city that let you sleep,
Whether it's a familiar beep or a roaring train,
These noises will creep into your mind.

Poem - Comet

E. Weiß

Did you see that? There it goes.
Where to? No one knows,
But what its coming does propose,
Is that a chance for a wish has arose.

Poem - Cloudy Day

I've written so many poems and songs,
All about you, while without you,
And maybe I'd be coming on too strong,
To recite one to you.
But I've waited so very long,
I don't know what else to do.

Poem - Inspire me More

Where is this inspiration coming from?
Without a beginning, it emerges like a drum,
the beating never thinning, like a perpetual glum.

Poem - Was wissen Sie nicht?

(Deutsche Version)

Ich bin sicher, Sie wissen,
aber ich muss sagen,
Dein Lächeln macht mein Herz glanz.
und Sie sehen schön auf, jeden Tag.

Poem - Indifference

What's the matter, what's wrong?
Tell me the reason he's the one you avoid.
He can't hold on for long, despite being strong.
Can your reason justify his being destroyed?

Poem - In the Abyss

(English Version)

I'm trapped in this abyss,
Looking for a way out; I can
never risk my reputation.
Let's return to where this all began.

Poem - In Dem Abgrund

(Deutsche Version)

Ich stecke in diesem Abgrund,
Suchen nach einem Ausweg; Ich kann
nie in Gefahr bringen, meinen Leumund.
Lassen Sie uns zurück, wo alles begann.

Song - Carved in Stone

It's been said that,
everyone, deserves a second chance,
but I've only asked for one,
so why is it that,
you won't join me in this dance,
I'm already severed from you,
and life has only just begun,
tell me how I can go back and undue,
what I've foolishly done.

Poem - Limbo

I hiked my way to the top of a knoll,
and took a look at the shining sun.
Losing track of my feet, falling down a hole,
I knew that I was almost done.
In tasting something sweet, I've lost my soul,
Admittedly, I had a good run.

Poem - The Beginning

When I look back, I can find the start.
I couldn't have prepared for,
the moment when you tore me apart.
And I fell to the floor,
the moment when you broke my heart.
The moment you closed my only door.

Poem - The Reason Why

I've thought about it from time to time,
and now I've realized the why,
The reason, you and I, cannot be;
something you may never see.

Poem - Four More Months

Doc said I'm going to die,
and I've only got four months left to live.
So I figured I'd give it one last try,
to show you all that I would give.

Poem - Nothing But You

I want to be your reason to smile every morning,
I want to be the last thing on your mind every evening,
It's not because you're my first choice,
but rather, you're my only choice.

Song - Back of your Head

I look forward to seeing you everyday,
even if it hurts, but still I'm;
I'm hoping that you'll look my way,
and there's no amount of time,
I wouldn't wait, to set things straight,
between you and I.

Song - Comfortable

I know what I've been looking for,
And honey, its surely you.
This distance makes my heart so sore,
But honey, we'll be together soon.

Poem - Rut

With this static situation, I'm at a loss for inspiration,
I can't understand why, but I've lost my motivation,

Poem - What don't you know?

(English Version)

I'm sure you already know,
but I can't help but say,
Your smile lights my heart aglow,
and you look beautiful, everyday.

Poem - Those Dark Clouds

Once again those dark, thunderous clouds begin to cry,
Once again their ancient song rolls across the sky,
And here I am, within the eye,

Poem - My Reason?

What is it that I lack,
where is the courage I once had?
What is my reason to hold back,
why do I discourage, it couldn't be that bad.

The mistakes we make,
the failures,
the mishaps we have,
the errors...

Poem - Bewildering Serpent

The Serpent is up to its old tricks,
and the Ox bears its burdens.
But this forest has grown thick,
and its task hardens.

Poem - The Clock goes...

The clock goes tick-tock,
tick-tock goes the clock.
It'll never stop,
Time will keep moving.
The feeling'll never drop,
That Time will keep inducing.

Poem - In need of a Wise man

What metaphor will I use this time?
What is it that's inside me?
Constantly, I'll use rhyme,
to express my inner struggle.
I feel just like a mime,
never to win this battle.

Poem - Beyond Compare

My eyes must be mistaken,
for I've never seen one as you.
And my heart cannot go unshaken,
for now it's impossible, to say adieu.

Song - Lie to Me

Never believed you were someone to mistrust,
Never believed you had any reason to, to lie to me.
But here I am, filled with disgust,
Forced to condemn, to the highest degree.

Poem - Thorn Pricked Heart

When you're pricked by a thorn,
you think nothing of it.
Your skin is now torn,
but this is something you can permit.

Poem - I'd rather be Blunt

I'm a bit tired of euphemism.
Why must I use metaphor,
along with convoluted abstractionism,
to describe that which I most adore.

Story - Chaos Rising

Continued from "Tempest"

The 2nd regiment was moving towards the position given to them by the 1st regiment just a couple days back. The 3rd regiment reached their position, and began intercepting supplies. HQ told them that soon they would need to shift positions to stay clear of Imperial forces that would head back to meet them. The 3rd regiment is currently in the middle of a firefight with a caravan guard tasked to protect the shipment of supplies. The 4th and 6th battalions are still on the move towards the battlefield, and the supply depots for aircraft had recently started functioning fully.

Poem - Sun's Flare

When the fog is thick and damp,
The Sun's light wanes, but all the more glorious,
Is the energy radiating from this celestial lamp.
For to shine through these faded clouds,
is a task that much more laborious.
And the blinding light, this transparent haze shrouds.

Poem - To Search for a Star

These dark woods have enveloped me,
no longer is there a path to follow.
No map, no compass, no direction.
The north star refuses to set me free,
and I'm trapped in this misty hollow.
But wait, for I have found a light of perfection.

They will need to rethink their strategy in order to make up for the losses experienced the day before.

Story - The Corinosian Introduction

In a distant galaxy, there lies a bright green star at the center of the Corinosian System. This system is the center of much conflict, being a solar system with an unusually high concentration of habitable planets. These include: Corinosia I, Corinosia II, Corinosia III, Tyrannea, Pythoria, Morlornia, and Ashtunis. Take care to remember these names; they will become important throughout the story of the Helviteos Nation.

Story - Dystopian Prison

A boulder fell from the cliff above, missing me by only a few inches. I knew this plan would have been dangerous, but I couldn't have predicted this. I could die just as easily as I had fled. The barking of dogs and shouting of guards was getting closer. They had firearms while I was stuck on a cliff side with raggedy clothing. I felt like an ant on a hill that was about to be sprayed with a hose by some thoughtless and merciless child. I didn't have much time left, but I couldn't find any footholds.

On What Will Be, A Treatise

Now, for the purposes of this argument, a few things must first be made clear. What has happened, what is happening, and what will happen, are to be referred to as the past, the present, and the future, respectively. There is a set of effects or an effect and a set of causes or a cause predicated of every event, or in other words, an event includes cause(s) and (an) effect(s).

Poem - The Silent Songbird

Oh, why has the songbird lost its voice,
are there are no ears for its song?
Or perhaps it's too quiet for one's choice,
Is there no other to sing along?

Story - Under the Trees

Continued from "A Cold Omen"

Alerts were erupting from the radio from the other regiments, while HQ was barking orders at the various commanders, until it all stopped in an instant. The Imperial Forces hit much harder than expected, communications across the entire mountain range were lost. Captain Griffin and his regiment were positioned along one of the main passes, and had set up a defensive position to combat the advancement of the Tyrus Empire's forces.

Poem - Heaven After Dark

To climb a tree of willow,
A variety with a hardy exterior,
Is no simple feat.
To break lose of its shadow,
this tree with a delicate interior,
Would require something sweet.

Poem - At a Loss for Words

Where am I to find those words,
to express my thoughts when I see,
those graceful, fully free birds,
soaring in the air, high above the trees...

Story - A Cold Omen

Introduction

Listaria, like all current Corinosian factions, was originally founded on Corinosia I. It has always been a peaceful nation that focuses on trading with the other factions. Over time, Listaria has amassed an enormous amount of wealth. Because of this, Listaria has just entered its first war in over two centuries. The Tyrus Empire expected them to be unprepared, primitive, and inexperienced. However, for centuries Listaria has observed the other nations, and developed defensive technology for use in the event of a conflict, and to protect their freighters from pirates, privateers, or other nations, all looking to secure Listaria’s wealth for their own purposes.

Story - Csy-delic Jurnee

Csy-delic Jurnee

All I can remember of my dream last night are flashes of vibrant colors and blurs of motion and people, and this, this is how it went:
